After Windows 10 update from Windows 8.1 on PC2, cannot get Multiplicity to work. Uninstalled from both PC's, reinstalled in accordance with instructions still not working Sure makes a person appreciate Multiplicity. Help Appreciated - Bob

Multiplicity 2.0 won't run on fresh Windows 10 installation

As the title suggests, I installed Multiplicity 2.0 on my primary PC (fresh install not an upgrade) and when I double click Multiplicity from the program manager I get the blue loading circle for a couple of seconds and then it goes away but Multiplicity does not load.

It isn't minimizing to the launchpad and there's no sign of it in the process list in Task Manager either. It just seems to be trying to run and aborting. Attempting to run it as administrator yields the same behavior.&...

2 monitor computer -- 2 monitors

I have the KVM version ($39.99) but I can’t seem to view both monitors of the Secondary computer?

Is the only way to do that to open another KVM window and connect a second instance to the Secondary computer? If so, seems like I need the Pro version, and if that is the case, is there a way to upgrade? (or do I have to purchase a new Pro license)

Can't Connect the second PC

Hey everyone,

I am trying to set this up, When I try to ad the second PC dialog box appears and says: 

Failed to connect:

Please check firewall settings on secondary (should not set to public/guess) computer name and IP address.

I switch the main and secondary PC around received same error code again.

Send email to stardock 2 days ago with no respond so far.

Error - Passcode Is Incorrect

I have a three monitor Win10 Pro PC running MP as primary. I have added a one monitor Win10 PC running MP as secondary. MP primary connects to MP secondary, but shows the error message "Multiplicity was able to connect to the computer, but your passcode is incorrect". The passcodes are identical, I re-typed them in both the MP primary and MP secondary. The encryption key is the same. Both are running version 3.42 KVM Pro Build 00078.

Windows 10 Pro  /  Multiplicity 3

I installed Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomeware Beta only to find out in reality it was really an 'Alpha' with lots of problems and has been pulled by the way. NOTE: I have faith in Malwarebytes and look forward to using the software when it's finished!

I have an offer to upgrade to the Pro version since I'm a Stardock customer using their products. My question is if it is possible to control an iMac as well as PC's? I have an iMac and 2 windows 10 laptops, a linux server, and one desktop PC. It would be great if there were a way to connect Mac - Linux - Windows all together on the home network. I would settle for now just being able to control the mac as well as laptops with my destop PC.

Multiplicity Clicking Glitch

Hello,

My Multiplicity installation has been running into an error; whenever I move to the secondary display and click the mouse (either down or up), the mouse "jumps" up about an inch or so on the screen. For example, if I click the mouse once - mouse down, mouse up - it jumps two inches straight up. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Multiplicity on both computers, and this problem consistently returns.

What can I do about this? Is this a problem other people have run into? I have tried ...

Multiplicity Cannot Connect to One of My PC's with the Firewall Turned On

I have Multiplicity Pro installed on 4 of my computers but one cannot connect if the firewall is on. All of the settings are the same (re firewall settings/rules/etc) and I've cleared the rules/re-installed several times. All computers run Win10. The only thing is that the problematic computer is just a little older than the rest but it still has similar specs.

Can anyone offer where I might troubleshoot to get MultPro to work and still enjoy the benefits of having the firewall enabled? E...

Well, there's is a long thread about this . Locked now . I was wondering if all the people discussing it are still alive there , since it started back in 2006 . I can't believe that SD started creating Start Menu for the software that already has Start Menu, but abandoned  this important functionality .

At least allow integration with Synergy. That would work, I think ?

Any hope of a fix, or potentially poking UbiSoft to fix their stuff regarding Multiplicity and Ubisoft Uplay client (https://uplay.ubi.com - their Steam-wannabe).

 

Right now as soon as mouse leaves the main PC screen, Uplay client crashes hard. This has been so for quite a while now, and it is highly annoying...

Audio server and Wake up

Hi folks,

My primary box goes to sleep, and the network card remains up and running (per choice).

That box is (also) acting as an audio server. Being on sleep, Multiplicity stops receiving the stream.

How can I either A) "keep it alive", or send a "Magic Packet" to the network card so it wakes it up when audio is played, or C) Prevent Sleep if audio is being played?

How do you align a 4k monitor to a 1080p monitor to use 100% of each edge? I see there is an alignment option but no mater what kind of numbers I put in that it still only uses part of the 4k monitor.

Hello there! Well, I went to purchase the Multiplicity Pro upgrade for $14.99, but the server told me I did not qualify because I don't have 'Multiplicity'.  But I do; it's in my Object Desktop. I hope you guys at Stardock help me straighten this out. Thanks!

I am trying to determine how, or even if it's possible, to configure Multiplicity to run on one network and connect to two other computers that are behind a juniper firewall.

The scenario:

We have a Radiation Therapy System which utilizes 3 computer setup. 
The primary computer is located on network 128.xxx.xxx.xxx
The two secondary computers are located behind a juniper firewall that is on 172.xxx.xxx.xxx & 172.xxx.xxx.xxx

Multiplicity 3.42 update

I have been using Multiplicity 3 KVM Pro 3.41 (Edgerunner) for quite a while without any problems until ObjectDesktop recently informed me that there was an update to version 3.42... Assuming that ObjectDesktop knew what it was talking about I installed this update - only to discover that I had in fact now DOWNGRADED to Multiplicity 3 KM 3.42 and had lost the KVM functionality.
